Chrissy Tiegen and John Legend have welcomed a fourth child, just five months after their daughter was born. Tiegen has said she always wanted to have four children, and they started the process of looking for a surrogate in 2021. After meeting Alexandra, Tiegen knew the surrogate would be a perfect match. She wanted to be friends, have their children play together, and have the two families become part of each other’s lives.

The original embryo transfer for Alexandra wasn’t successful, but that didn’t stop them from trying again. Tiegen found out that Alexandra had a successful embryo transfer, and was pregnant with a little boy, at the same time as she was pregnant with the couple’s daughter. Her daughter, Esti, joined their family in January, and then Wren was born via surrogate on June 19th. Tiegen and Legend have two other children, Luna who is 7 and Miles who is 5. While Tiegen was pregnant in 2020, she had complications from a partial placental abruption and was unable to carry to term.

Now that they have four children, Tiegen and Legend have the complete family that Tiegen has always dreamed of. Even as a little girl, she always had four dolls, pound puppies, or other representations of the number of children she wanted. What started out as play acting at a young age has culminated into her dream family. She has been married to John Legend since 2013.

Working with a surrogate helped make the couple’s dreams come true more easily. Especially after losing a pregnancy in 2020, trying to have additional children can be stressful. During her pregnancy with Esti, Tiegan admitted being nervous due to the problems she experienced in her previous pregnancy.  Welcoming a fourth child via surrogate just five months after Esti’s birth has completed the family, and the two older siblings have embraced the younger ones.
