That lack of regulation can lead to problems, as one former sperm donor has learned. Thirty years ago, Dr. Bryce Cleary, then a medical student in Oregon, was recruited as a sperm donor for the fertility clinic at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Cleary was told that his sperm would be used to father no more than five children and that none of the women who would receive his sperm donations would be from the Pacific Northwest.<\/span><\/p>\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1872 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/surrogacy-lawyer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Depositphotos_8640096_s-2019-300x215.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"215\" srcset=\"https:\/\/surrogacy-lawyer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Depositphotos_8640096_s-2019-300x215.jpg 300w, https:\/\/surrogacy-lawyer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Depositphotos_8640096_s-2019-768x551.jpg 768w, https:\/\/surrogacy-lawyer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Depositphotos_8640096_s-2019-204x146.jpg 204w, https:\/\/surrogacy-lawyer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Depositphotos_8640096_s-2019-50x36.jpg 50w, https:\/\/surrogacy-lawyer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Depositphotos_8640096_s-2019-105x75.jpg 105w, https:\/\/surrogacy-lawyer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Depositphotos_8640096_s-2019.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width:767px) 300px, 300px\" \/>When he had his DNA tested through Ancestry.com in 2018, Dr. Cleary was surprised to learn that the clinic apparently had not honored its promises to him.
